Always Wear Your Seatbelt

With Apollo’s Chariots being in the transportation industry, our number one focus has always been safety.  The vehicle’s best safety feature is the seat belt.  In Florida it is the law, and for good reason.  I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “Click it or Ticket”.  Properly wearing your seat belt will prevent you from being ejected from the vehicle in the event of an accident.  It also stops you from being thrown against other passengers, the steering wheel and the windshield.  By being strapped into your seat, you can continue to control the vehicle throughout the crash oftentimes avoiding other collisions.  A common misconception is that air bags are a substitute for seat belts.  They provide added protection, but do not replace seat belts.  The proper fit of a seat belt is around your hips and across your chest.

Wearing your seat belt reduces your risk of being injured or killed in a car crash by almost 50%!

A local foundation “Always Wear Your Seat Belt” has pledged to bring awareness to the importance of seat belts after the deaths of Orlando high school students who weren’t wearing their seat belts during a car crash in 2011.  Read the full story HERE.
